Our Curriculum

Intent

At Broadway Infant school, we provide a broad and balanced curriculum that is fully inclusive and meets the needs of all our children. Our curriculum is designed with our ethos, vision and values in mind, engaging and exciting children to learn through the delivery of creative, innovative and challenging learning opportunities.

At Broadway we ensure that academic success, physical development, well-being and mental health are key elements within our curriculum that support the development of the whole child and promote a positive attitude to learning.

Children are taught the skills they need to become successful learners through the promotion of our leaning characters, which visually demonstrate these skills to the children and are as follows:

Our curriculum celebrates diversity and supports the children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, ensuring that children know how to make a positive contribution to their school and community. Children in our school are also given an opportunity to develop an understanding of global issues and how they can help make changes in support of these issues.
